You read a notice or a short announcement and choose the option that matches its content. The passage packs in several concrete details — date, time, place, target audience, cost — and only one of the four options matches the passage exactly. The other three are traps made by slightly changing a number or a condition. For this type, you don't need to read the whole passage closely from start to finish. Read the four options first to figure out what you need to check — a date, a fee, how to apply — then find just that part in the passage and compare. It's much faster. It's Medium difficulty within TOPIK II Reading, but it's a stretch you can lock down as long as you don't slip up. The common trap is swapping out a single number — a day of the week, a time, a headcount — so focus especially on numbers and conditions when you compare.

Matching Content in Notices, Graphs, and Articles

• 신청 기간·접수 기간 — The item that tells you the start and end dates for applications. The most common trap in the options shifts the date or day of the week by just one.
• 대상·자격 — The item that tells you who is eligible to apply. Always check when a condition like 'adults' or 'residents only' is attached.
• 문의처·연락처 — The phone number, email, or department name you can use to ask questions. A common trap in the options swaps the method for something else, like 'you can only apply on the website.'
• 유의사항·주의사항 — Rules to follow or exception cases. When a conditional clause appears — 'in case of rain,' 'what to bring' — check whether the option carries it over exactly.
• 선착순·정원 — The item that tells you whether there's a cap on the number of people and, if so, how many. A frequent trap swaps this for 'no limit.'
• 참가비·이용료 — The item that tells you whether it's free or paid, and how much. A common trap swaps 'free' for 'paid,' or changes a specific amount to a different number.
• 제출 서류·준비물 — Documents or items needed when applying. Some options quietly swap in a different kind of document.
• 함정 패턴 — 날짜·요일 바꿔치기 — The most common trap pattern: writing the day or date one day off from the passage to create a wrong answer. Always check the passage's numbers and day of the week directly.
• 함정 패턴 — 대상·범위 축소·확대 — A trap pattern that narrows 'any adult' or widens a limited headcount into 'no limit' to create a wrong answer.
• 함정 패턴 — 조건 누락·추가 — A trap pattern that drops an exception condition from the passage (rain, a separate materials fee, etc.) or invents a new condition that isn't in the passage.
• 함정 패턴 — 장소·방법 대체 — A trap pattern that quietly swaps the means or place for something else — changing 'apply on the website' to 'apply by phone,' or 'outdoors' to 'indoors.'
• 함정 패턴 — 본문에 없는 정보 지어내기 — A trap that inserts a number or condition found nowhere in the passage to make an option sound plausible. Check first whether it's actually in the passage.

This is a stretch you can secure by matching rather than reading closely. Watch out for traps that alter numbers or conditions, and there's no reason to slip up.
